A shot from our walk in the formal gardens at Castle Ashby. For this weeks subject - leading lines. The snow covered path taking us toward the arch. The snow helped get some contrast in the image. I have found when the scene has lots of different greens it doesn't convert well to b&w.
Best on black
Many thanks for your great comments on my images - very much appreciated!!
Nice shot Pam- I think the "green problem" probably has to do with the midtones in the color- that translates as grays in black and white. Sometimes they work- as in mountain ranges but that's the only exception I can think of. Nice leading line and placed precisely where it belongs.
Love your shot with the leading lines, and have taken note of the advice from @taffy and @olivetreeann too. I should have known about the latter, just had brain disconnected.
Do you know in Silver Efex, you can click on the green filter separately to adjust the greens?
