Topic of the Day - Gift
(definitely looks better large against black if you have time)
This was a gift from my sister Barbara. We went to the garden center a few weeks ago and there was a stand with lots of plants on "Sale" as "End of Season". This Gardenia was looking a bit sorry for itself and the leaves were turning brown. It had been reduced to 50P. I was talking about how I love Gardenias as the flower is so beautiful but the perfume is even better. They use them in some of the most expensive perfumes. Anyway when we got to the checkout my sister had picked this one up and bought it for me saying "don't say I never buy you anything". I said "not sure about it as it looks half dead"!! Anyway I planted it in my garden thinking it will die off very soon. Imagine my surprise and delight when I saw this flower opening yesterday and today it has fully opened!! I will have to show Barbara and say a proper thank you - what an ungrateful sister I am!! LOL!! I love it in B&W as the brown leaves don't show up too much!! LOL!!
