I was walking Finlay this afternoon and there was a cricket match on the field. I watched for a while with the large crowd of noisy supporters and then took a few shots with my iphone - what a shame I didn't have my Canon with me!! This is my Diptych which i did in LR in the print section. I am sure there must be an easier way to do a diptych but i don't know it. They have been given a watercolour filter.
I still have my guests - an unexpected one arrived last night so I won't be able to comment today. I am getting black looks doing this but I insisted I had to put up my shot for the day!! They just do not understand 365!!
Many thanks to you all for your great comments on Finlay and my "blousey" flower - all very much appreciated!!
I have two great sporting passions and cricket is one of them. Cricket is such a hard sport to capture because the ball moves so fast and the action is so far away. You have succeeded in getting two lovely images of this quintessentially English Sport.
To any Australians here I must acknowledge the brave decision of you national Cricket Captain on his bold declaration today on the last day of the Ashes series. I expected a slow anti-climatic day but instead we were treated to a feast of wickets, runs and nervous tension. It is a shame the light permitted the game to end with just 24 balls left.
