11th July 2014 -Field of gold

Here I am in Yorkshire and we finally have internet connection BUT sooooo slow!! It has taken ages to upload this shot. This is the view from our cottage to one side. I am practising using live view for landscapes togther with the App for hypofocal distance. The live view is great as you can really zoom into the place where you should be focusing to get everything in focus front to back of the shot. My problem is actually seeing the screen in sunlight. I am hoping there is something you can get to put over your back screen. Not sure I have it quite right for the tree in the distance. I await your comments with interest.

It was funny as I had just finished this shot when a combine harvester arrived and they started to cut the field along the front edge!! Great timing!!
Wonderful POV and composition, love the focus and the tree looks so alone on the horizon, works well fav

I love this and a fav for me. In Hawaii we bought a hood that you can hold up over the screen to see better. Easier to use if you are tripoded if using it to focus. Or, shoot then check focus with hood. Try again.

@trinda Thanks Trinda. I was using a tripod. I will have to check out the hood you are talking about. In bright sun you cannot see the back screen at all!!

Beautiful dof, composition, and framing. Love the texture of the wheat, the lone tree, and the sky. Fav for me! Have a great time in my native county, looking forward to more Yorkshire shots.
