14th July 2014 - Bolton castle

Using my wide angle lens there was quite a bit of distortion of the walls of the castle. In Lightroom 5 you can make adjustments and straighten the walls - wonderful!! Worth the upgrade just for that!!

As we were driving through the Dales following the Tour de France route I spotted Bolton Castle and just had to stop to take a photo.
Lovely shot and light Pam.

Beautiful setting for the castle. Love the colour and texture on its walls.

Great shot! And, I agree...distortion correction is a real plus in LR5.

Lovely English country scene.

Great shot Pam. To this Aussie, it's very English, i.e. lush, green, small paddock/s and lots of history. The wide-angle has worked very well indeed in this image.

A super long view

This is a lovely shot. This castle is like the ones all little kids draw, with the turrets and all.

Love the meadow in the foreground, leading through the harvested field to this wonderful castle. Great composition.
