Up on Buttertubs Pass again. The previous weekend there were thousands of people up here cheering on the tour de France. The local sheep must have been very confused!! I love the markers in the ears - they look like colourful earings.
HDR - 3 bracketed shots - trying for a natural look. Definitely needs to be looked at large against black to see the detail.
Many thanks to you all for your great comments and Favs on my Moon Rising shot. It had more Favs than any of the shots which reached the PP but it hasn't got on there itself. It did make a showing on the Trending Page. Those Magic Monkeys do confuse me!! Anyway it was one of my favourite shots - so I was thrilled that you all seemed to like it!!
This is so good - the layering of shots seems to make such a difference. I don't know how to do this. The PP choices seem to relate also to how many followers you have, e.g. if only 100 and 21 favs it would go to PP. Fav for me!
@maggiemae many thanks! I am just learning how to do HDR and really trying to keep this shot as normal as possible as it is so easy to go over the top which can give your shot a cartoon effect. 3 shots taken - bracketed in camera which gives you 1 shot under exposed, 1 shot your choice of exposure plus 1 shot overexposed. These shots are merged in my case using software pack called Photomatix. I am finding it very easy to use and am enjoying learning how to do it!
Fabulous HDR Pam, it ticks all the boxes for me and no useful critique to offer. Fav for me. But if I were that farmer I'd get to those thistles pdq before they seed.
There you go, I would never have picked it for HDR. A really natural looking shot, I love how the flowers are as tall as the sheep, and there are so many things to look at. Great processing!
I downloaded a trial of Photomatix, Pam and its quite good and works but I can't find out how much it is! It puts a watermark on the photo if you save it.
