I am still house bound with my twisted knee so I have gone through some old shots to see if I could find anything which said High Contrast to me when I converted to B&W. I am feeling so confused now about high contrast /high key that in the end I went for shots I liked when converted - I don't know what they are!! LOL!!
Many thanks for your great comments on yesterdays shots I have taken on board all that was said and will do a re-edit of the old mill shot.
Yes, this is definitely high contrast, but not high key. High contrast = stark difference in blacks and whites. High key = light tones across the range (but I'm not sure how to 'read' the numbers that would make it high key, so am massively failing as a mentor on that side of it!).
