I am now in Devon staying in a beautiful 5 bedroomed thatched cottage overlooking a lake. A fabulous place to chill out!! Yesterday I picked up my niece from Clovelly with two of her little girls and they will be staying with us here for the week. Lots of cuddles ahead!! This is gorgeous Molly born last December. She is a really happy smiley little girl and we are so pleased we are having this time to get to know her. I am so sad I live so far away from them and can only get to see them a couple of times a year.
This was yesterday in the sunshine. Today it is raining!! Oh well it wouldn't be Devon if it didn't rain. Fingers crossed for some sunshine as I would love to go on the beach with the girls!!
@taffy I find bird portraits so much easier!! Children keep pulling funny faces and also keep moving in and out of focus!! It's much better to take them unawares I think as they pull such silly faces when you ask them to smile!! Practising with my flash this week so I am hoping to get a higher success rate!!
@lisatown the "aged hands" comment made me laugh as my sister Barbara had already said how old her hands looked in the shot. She said she is wearing gloves from now on!! LOL!!
@ceilidh No there is no way I could walk up from the botton of Clovelly. We walked down the cobbles earlier this year but it was wet and very slippery. We got the landrover up. My niece got the landrover up with her two girls and we met her at the visiors centre.
So cute, have a lovely time and enjoy your great nieces. I know how you feel as I have 4 great nephews and 3 great nieces I don't get to see. I miss them growing up.
