12th November 2013 - light trails

This is my latest effort to get light trails. It wasn't quite dark but I felt a bit vulnerable standing on the little foot bridge over the road and when I heard some boys coming I gave up and returned to my car. I put the camera on the bridge so it was quite steady. I am not happy with composition - I am still looking for a good place to get this kind of shot. If you look carefully you may be able to see six naked ladies - three on either side of the road. They are sculptures and are lovely but I am not sure why they are placed there. This is a work in progress and I am uploading to record how I get on.
(As usual looks better large)

Uploaded for my extras album.
These are great -- wow -- what a difference in how much straighter these are, and the interesting way the converge. Cool shot!

Pam, these are a great improvement on the last set, as the lines are straighter. I love that you have captured the scenery around the road. Completely understand why you gave up, I always feel very vulnerable out on my own.....just make sure you have your cameras insured, so you don't feel inclined to fight for them if someone ever makes a grab!

So jealous. I've been wanting to do something like this, but my camera won't do it. Excellent capture!

I think it is great, really well done for a first appearance. I wonder what it would look like if it were cropped to get the sign out? Too small then? I rather liked the naked ladies though I agree they are in an odd spot.

You should be happy with this! It's fantastic! I wish I could do something like this, but I don't think I have an overpass that's safe enough to stand on... I'll have to think about it.

I like the way you composed this as a diagonal that fills a large part of the image. Too bad the yellow sign is there, as it looks out of place to me, but there is nothing you could do about that.

This is a fab shot Pam! :)

Love the light tails Pam, you did a good job. Those sculptures do look a bit odd there.
