@fbailey I used this pool last year too and had no problems with their claws. When we come back from a walk especially on grass I make them go into the water. I worry about grass seeds and mites between their pads at this time of year. Washing the dust off seems to stop them chewing their feet.
@fbailey yes it is a cool collar - bought them yesterday. You wet them with cold water and put it round the neck. When it dries off wet it again. I am surprised they haven’t tried to get them off but so far so good!
@jgpittenger it’s awful in Europe with record temperatures. We have had one day of extreme temperatures for us in the UK and they say it will be cooler tomorrow thankfully! It’s the middle of the night and still so hot and humid I can’t sleep. The boys wanted to go out so I let them into garden but there was an enormous hedgehog in the middle of the lawn! George barking his head off trying to attack it! I caught it in the dustpan and brush and put it in the front street but I know it will be back! I will have to get the trap out again! I wonder if it’s the same one from last year I caught and took to the rescue? They do release them again - has he found his way home? Noooooo!
Great idea to have a doggy pool Pam. We've been reading about the record temps in Europe. Friends of ours have just come back from there and said it was terrible, couldn't bear to leave the hotel in Prague.
