This is Lundy Island last night (2nd June) and you can just make out the beacon which was lit to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Beacons were lit all around the country and I was thrilled when I looked out of the window and saw this one.
I bet you were…I love the beacon idea & many more this time in small towns & villages because of the gas brazier type beacon. You can’t beat a proper bonfire one though! It was pouring down here last night which out a real damper on things! We were going to light one at our little party last night but we just came home in the rain.
