You're Not Fit To Wear The Shirt !!!!!!!!!!

Well I've just returned from Wembley in North London to see my tream , Bolton Wanderers FC, play in the FA Cup Semi Final against Stoke City at Wembley Stadium.

I cannot put into words how poor my team played today. We were awful. The words "You're Not Fit To Wear The Shirt " spring to mind. we lost 5-0 (YES FIVE), we were so inept and gifted Stoke all their goals.

This picture is taken from my seat in the West Stand ...SOCC...it was the last picture of the day. As the goals started to go in I could not motivate myself to take any more pictures.

28,000 Bolton fans made the long trip to Wembley, so a lot of people left the stadium very dissapointed.

Wembley is meant to be the showpiece stadium of the English Football Association. Well it might be a nice stadium inside, but the surrounding infrastructure of road, rail and tube are a disgrace. I'm never setting foot inside the place again !

Right RANT over, I feel better for that.

Congratulations to Stoke City !
Ah hard luck Phil ! So disappointing for you , I was hoping good old Bolton would win..a good northern team who deserved the chance ! Good picture though !

Bad news - I was rooting for Bolton (well Preston North End aren't going to get there) but my Staffordian husband is sitting around like the cat who got the cream :0(

Couldn't believe the score when I saw it...!!! Unbelievable...! Agree with what you have to say about the stadium and area tho....
BTW - Great pic...

great shot - sorry your team didn't do so well. I've never been inside the stadium but have driven around that part of the A406 many times - it's not the best it has to be said! I guess the roadways and that were all there before there were so many cars in London. There's not a lot of other space to build roads - we need to go Back To The Future and get flying Deloreans!

Sorry your team lost Phil..the stadium looks amazing! I have never been to one.

Having recently read your profile I thought of you yesterday. Sorry about the result :-( and sorry for how you thought of Wembley. On Saturday my 2 Man Utd supporters went into deep mourning too! I secretly smirked :-) Great shot of the huge stadium and sorry it wasn't your day.

There is one happy bloke - Bottom Left - do you think he is a secret Stoke supporter or did he find some chewing gum under the seat?

Like the photo by the way! lol.

oh dear, bad day? you still a bolton fan? :p
April 18th, 2011
So sorry it was such bad news for your team - what a shame! A wonderful photo of the stadiun though - I love the angle and the way it makes me feel like I'm there.

ALL - I hope you don't mind a group reply. I don't wan't to stay on this page too long as the image of 11 Bolton Wanderers players attempting to play a football match still upsets me 24 hours later. The words shambolic and disgrace spring to mind all too easy after the team failed to deliver any kind of cohesion and passion. So thanks to you all for your kind comments :)

Thanks - @happypat @judithg @andycoleborn @sparkle @patsyjphillips @kerristephens @tashy @sleepdozer57 @Cherrill @robinmersh @rachschofield @gill

This is a gorgeous shot of Wembley Stadium - what a pretty place. I wish the game's outcome had been a little bit more pleasant for the Bolton fans. :)

@sarahhorsfall Thanks Sarah, I do actually quite like the picture :)
April 20th, 2011
@meredithwb Thanks Meredith, you've now seen the inside of what is meant to be Englands best stadium !! I think many fans would disagree though , because we have some fantastic football stadiums, but not many as big as this

That's the beautiful game for you! I did a really strange Nike10k run that started at the staduim everyone wore a red nike tshirt and the route was grim but I kind of liked that it lagged it down all the way and there were hundreds of runners doubling back between the metal guide rails all the way along it was surreal. Paula Ratcliffe was coming in after I finished (I am rubbish - she just went in a much later wave of red runners!) I looked out for her but it was impossible as all the runners looked the same and I did not spot her!
