Top of the hill revisited

This is a re shoot of the shot I did two weeks ago:

http://365project.org/phil_howcroft/365/2014-09-22

Last time it was Jane and Ruby, this time it's Jane, Ruby and Claire.

Last time it was monochrome, this time it's colour.

Last time it had no clouds, this time it has good clouds.

Last time it was shot with my compact Panasonic TZ7, this time it was shot with my Canon 450D with my 50mm lens.

Last time Ruby didn't have a lead, this time she does.

In the original I wanted some decent clouds and two weeks later the clouds didn't disappoint.

I think I prefer the colour shot, because it has separation between the everybody and three works better than two.

Then again, I do like mono

Anyway, I like the shot :)

Oh and a labradoodle came and gave me a sniff and nudge as I crouched down to take this shot.
Like the clarity of this shot. A great revisit.

Love the story Phil, and it's a great shot but I prefer the mono ... this is a lovely shot of your ladies :P

You should thank your lucky star for not being peed on by the labradoodle, haha. I, too, prefer this shot, I am not one who goes for the monochromes. I love how you captured them right on top of the hill with those magnificent clouds behind them.

BTW Loved to read the story.

I think I like this one...I know it's colour & I am a colour person but it's the aspect here I like......that image of the three raised up on the horizon is very effective.

I guess I missed the first one...but I really like the compositin of this. The clouds add to the interest. Is this your family ? Lovely!!

Love your comments. (especially about your sniffy visitor!) I really like this portrait for all the reasons you list, but artistically I still pick the B&W.

And nice letterbox - and Jane is getting braver - or just desperate to get on with the walk!!
