Approaching the Cressbrook Tunnel (vintage Pentax M 28mm f3.5 SMC lens)

We went for a walk along the Monsal Trail in the Derbyshire Peak District.

My wife , my two daughters and Little Ruby walked over 11 miles on a dry but cool day.

We had a picnic on top of Monsal Head enjoying the spectacular views over the viaduct and valley.

I thought mono suited this scene nicely

Shot with a vintage Pentax M 28mm f3.5 SMC prime lens
A lovely shot and the mono is really well suited for the scene !- it emphasises the bleakness of the area !

precious family days. You got that leading line in the fence perfectly placed to draw attention to the walkers. And a great balance between them and the surrounding scenery.

Nice composition and processing Phil!

11 miles was quite a walk, but together with your loved ones I'm sure you didn't even realise how long that was. Ruby must have had a great time, too. I really like your shot and the way you composed it. Mono worked well on this one but I think I would have preferred to see it in colour.
