Both Phil & I have had a sort of cold & horrendous cough for several days ( he got it first!) all covid teats negative. We also had flu jabs a week ago, so it’s hard to know what is affecting what! So, I think there’s a lot of it about! You are in the right place , hope you start to feel better soon 😊
Oh, poor you, Phil! I hope you feel better very soon and I'm sure you do too! Sending you a gentle virtual hug and lots of good wishes for a speedy recovery.
Oh that's not great, but does sounds like you're in the best place! Hoping you feel better very soon. Carole's right, there's a lot of it about - sure you'll be right as rain soon.
Oh dear Phil, that was a shock when I read this. A big strapping lad like you…things like chest infections flare up so quickly & floor the best of us! Hope you are feeling better soon & so glad your doctor came up trumps! ! Nothing to grumble about with that treatment! Rest up that’s the best advice & keep taking the meds!
@happypat pat my doctors were palming me off , so I just turned up at surgery and said look at me.

Hi everyone thanks for the lovely words of support . It is what makes the 365 the best photography community .
I've been diagnosed with pneumonia on the right lung . How I've got this I don't know . The first ward / bay I was admitted to today , at the City hospital was horrendous. I won't spare you the details . The staff were brilliant . Because I was still independent they have moved me to an overspill suite on the other side of the hospital . My own room, tea and coffee making facilities , own bathroom shower toilet , wide-screen flat TV . Like a hotel room .
I'm on oxygen and antibiotics injected into my arm .
Thanks again everyone .
Not nice at all but the antibiotics should zap it quickly, especially with that method of administration.
Behave yourself, do as you're told and no running round the wards with your camera trying to break the record for the most quickly completed 100 strangers project! ;-)
Seriously though, hope you're better and out of hospital very soon.
@newbank newbank I was sent to A&E QMC in an ambulance and the transferred to city yesterday . Thanks for your concern , I hope the heart 💓 tests turn out ok
@casablanca casa , my first time ever in hospital as a patient at 65yo ! My oxygen levels have been reduced and I am being weaned off it !!!
Was in for 12hrs, sent home 2am, tests clear of signs of clots, long covid complications most likely. Awaiting referrals to cardiology and long covid clinics. Hope you get home to Elsie soon and recover fully.
@newbank wow long covid , I am so sorry for your issues . Everyone forgets about long covid sufferers and the devastating effect it has on the patient and extended family
@newbank I am still here , my O2 levels need to be stable , no docs at weekend , maybe home tomorrow. I have a good room which I am pleased about. Thanks for your concern ☺️
@phil_howcroft Glad you have a good room. I spent 5 days once in QMC in a windowless room! It was far from fun! Hope o2 levels stabilise soon and you get home. It's hard to fully rest in hospital when there is so much going on.
Just seen this pic, oh dear, you really have been through the mill. I did the same when I was in hospital last year, took a pic every day on my phone and caught up when I felt a bit better. Get well soon!
Just discovered you were sick, Phil. I had been not very present for a while, so I’m glad that I discovered about your problem when it was over. They say there has been an increase in respiratory diseases after our isolation for Covid. Nice that you had such a nice room. Hospital wards can be disheartening. All my thoughts to you!
