Another Poppy ready to burst. They've survived the winter quite nicely, and indeed have spread a little bit - I have Poppies where I didn't have them last year.
Behind this bud is the poppy from Thursday that had its hat on.

@onewing No, can’t say that I do Babs, either as a child at Akrotiri or twice as an adult. Remember the salt lake outside Akrotiri, but not a poppy field.
@phil_sandford The poppy fields were not far from Salt Lake. I remember chasing a goat through the poppy field once when the Officers Mess organized a treasure hunt. One of the things we had to find was the hair of a goat. I got the hair, but the goat wasn't too pleased.
