Old Lady by phil_sandford

Old Lady

On the hill.

Lincoln Cathedral bathed in late afternoon sunshine, just after a rai storm. Not taken from our usual spot due to a double decker bus being parked in the way.

Thanks for dropping by.
Reminds me of one those old pop up books of my childhood. She is just being lifted up.

@casablanca Does look that way doesn’t it. I believe you can get special architectural lenses to stop that perspective (imagine they cost the earth)

@phil_sandford I heard that too. Is it a shift lens? I like the pop up effect!

@casablanca Think so. This is a mobile shot ‘pulled’ back wide to get all of the cathedral in the shot.

@casablanca it's a tilt shift lens, but Snapseed is a lot cheaper!!!

Beautiful

It is a bit laid back!

Interesting effect. Geometry in Lightroom and Perspective in Snapseed could correct the distortion….IF that wasn’t your intent. Beautiful capture of the cathedral details and the sky is beautiful.

Nice shot, its a shame the phone does this distortion thing

@shutterbug49 Yup. This straight out of the camera so by pulling it back to get all of it in, it made it fall backwards. The ‘edited’ version is in my extras folder.

@kjarn Easily fixed 😜
