Vale La Perouse

A couple of days ago I mentioned that one of the neighbourhood peacocks was run over by accident or fowl means.
I hesitated to post this, but in the end, here he is post mortem. I have superimposed his head and neck on a background comprised of a focus stacked macro of his back feathers - they are so beautiful.
He was killed on La Perouse St, hence the name.

A very sad image given what it represents, but simply gorgeous tribute to this bird. Just have to hope it was an accident and the person who did it was so mortified they couldn't face coming forward.
