I really like doing puzzles. I'm not very good at them as you could tell by yesterday's crossword puzzle, which i've only added a few additional words. By the way thanks for the answer to clue thirty seven down avocado Katy. This afternoon I worked on a couple sudoku puzzles on the computer.
you went for a hard one! I used to play these a lot. I took this game back up on my phone a month or so ago, then bought an entire book. I'm completely enjoying the "easy" and "mediums", but only tried one "hard" one so far. Still not sure exactly how I solved it.
I hate these- they make me feel stupid! haha But I've never been good at math or numbers. Crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and word-searches are my kind of puzzle.
At first I wondered why some of the unsolved squares had entries of several digits. When I work them, on paper or with the app I use, I put them in a 3×3 grid, as
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
Makes it more “visual” for me.

I like to do sudoku. At first I had no idea what I was looking at. Then I realized it was sudoku with all the candidates filled in. I think it’s easier without all the distraction.
@wakelys I have to write all the possibilities in the squares to work these puzzles and sometimes make assumptions and mess up. I enjoy these puzzles but I'm not the best. @Dawn Haha! I have my good days and bad days. @pyrrhula I do them both and some other word puzzles. I don't always have the patience to finish a puzzle but enjoy trying them. @grammyn I like sudoku and like the word puzzles too. I don't get any of the puzzles right all the time but it's fun to try. @francoise This is a web page called https://www.websudoku.com. The easy and medium go too quickly but some of the hard ones are hard and I don't finish them. I have to put all the possible numbers in the square and then eliminate them one by one. The nice thing about doing them on the computer is that you can check if you're doing it right while playing. @bkbinthecity We all like different things. @amyk Crosswords are fun too, but I can't do some of them at all. I really like to try the Logic Puzzles but once they go beyond easy level I hardly ever get them. @olivetreeann Don't feel stupid. They really don't have much to do with math except they use numbers. Word searches are one of my least favorite puzzles but I still do them. @jamibann Good for you. I don't get a daily paper anymore (they cut it back to 3 times a week!). So I do these on line at https://www.websudoku.com @kjarn It's challenging but I enjoy it. @granagringa This one is an online puzzle. The blue numbers are the ones that are in the grid to start with. I put in the possiblities and begin to start eliminating numbers. That may be why this looks weird. @haskar I don't do them on my phone but on my desktop and in the paper. Sometimes i get wild and crazy and buy a paperback magazine that has them. I guess I like the word puzzles equally well. Something to give the brain a little workout. @corinnec Haha! I'm glad that people like to chat and share. @rhoing I've never seen Killer Sudoku. I'll have to look for it. @shutterbug49 Everyone does it differently. I need to see the possibilities and then methodically eliminate them.
@fbailey Don't feel stupid. I probably didn't explain it as clearly as I could have. @myhrhelper I like the challenge of harder puzzles but have left soooo many unsolved.
