“Heartleaf Iceplant”

This seems to be a bit of a “quiet” time for a lot of the flowering plants in the greenhouses. Back in the cactus house, seeing the cacti and other “succulents” with their infrequent, brilliant flowers is just so striking! This is a Heartleaf Iceplant (Aptenia cordifolia), family Aizoaceae, the same family as Tiger’s jaw, Faucaria tigrina, http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-11-30
