I sent an email to my BAMONA regional coordinator with the subject above and wrote,
“Sigh; just another skipper.
» Probably Hylephila phyleus…
» Or Atalopedes campestris…
» Or possibly Anatrytone logan, since I shot one of those this summer, http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2013-08-17
But I photographed it and am kind of desperate for something to post to my photo-a-day project so I took a closer look. Taking a chance on an ID and now hoping it’s a species I haven’t photographed yet: Poanes zabulon.”
With a comment on my posting at BugGuide, I’m now pretty confident I’m right about Poanes zabulon, or “Zabulon Skipper.”

@espyetta One of the cool features at BAMONA are the sighting maps.
If I have "Confirmed at BAMONA" in my 365 photo description,
» follow the link I put there. That takes you to the page for my individual sighting.
» On the sighting page under the title, "Details for Sighting Record xxxxxx", there is a link to the species page; follow that link.
» Now on the species page, *grab the scroll bar* with the mouse and pull it down to the sightings map with all the yellow disks and orange circles. Zoom in to Georgia to see if that species has been sighted in your area. :)
Turns out that there have been quite a few Zabulon sightings in your area over the past several years! :)
