Five weeks ago we put grass seed down in our front yard. For 2 weeks it didn’t rain, so we had to start watering. I think today makes 3 weeks that we’ve had to keep the soil moist. Earlier this week I tried to photograph the water coming out of the sprinkler, with disappointing results. I realized (eventually), that I needed to shoot more directly toward the sun. Most of my shots were of the sprinkler and the streams of water coming out of the sprinkler bar, but I prefer this one showing more of the scattered and scattering water, the elixir of life. I hope this is a “departure” for me.
