I did lots of shrub trimming today and this shrub is next to our house and driveway. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t say that I ever noticed flowers before. These are very small (¼" across, maybe?) and it was difficult to get a good shot. I’m hopeful my plant expert can tell me genus at least.
Edit. My expert says “Ilex_possibly”.
We have an interesting “system” using the free part of “Dropbox.” I leave a photo in the folder with some information about physical location in the filename, while still preserving my download image file’s filename. (I also edit a spreadsheet file in the shared folder with specific GPS coordinates — thank you, Google earth!) He changes the filename with genus and species, if possible, or, as in this case, just a conjecture on the genus. So this might have gone into the shared folder as “IMG_103_3846 - QueryMitchellShrub” and then he renames to “IMG_103_3846 - Ilex_possibly”. It’s a pretty cool system that doesn’t require me to email image files to him!
