Limoncello by rhoing

Limoncello

“Limoncello” is an Italian lemon liqueur mainly produced in Southern Italy, especially in the region around the Gulf of Naples, the Sorrentine Peninsula and the coast of Amalfi, and islands of Procida, Ischia, and Capri.

Clare & I were introduced to this spirit at a local, “mom-and-pop” (and daughter) Italian restaurant where our neighbor is a regular. A workout-friend of Clare’s brought back a small, boot-shaped bottle of limoncello from Italy some time ago and it was just the right amount to share with our neighbors after dinner today.

The “cordials” were from an antique store in Florida when we were visiting my dad many years ago. Not quite a matched set; the green base is a tad larger than the others. Lends charm to the set, right? Salute!

Without inspiration or creativity and preparing to pack for Tuesday’s journey for a family funeral, this was shot a couple minutes after midnight…
