Not many frames today so I just snapped this in the failing light of the back yard (behind the house from the setting sun, hence the ISO of 3200). A "young" inflorescence, if that's proper terminology. I don't think I've tried to get this close to a new inflorescence with my macro lens before. By later in the summer, at least some of the "spikes" are dry and brown, but these all still look pretty vibrant in color.
