More Selaginella kraussiana

In most past Februaries I have done the flash-o-red theme, which challenged me to post in black-and-white. It was always a good exercise and a change of pace in the winter, so I'll try it again this year.

I had a few shots today that would lend themselves reasonably well to gray-scaling, but this one was clearly the best, as it seems to have quite an eerie appearance. But I didn't do anything except remove the color after some cropping.

I think this was a good choice too--it works very well in black and white!
