Amur Honeysuckle fruiting

The neglected shrub we planted years ago at the back of our property to block our view of the phone and cable box. (“PapaThom, what’s a ‘phone box’?”) The same genus as Lonicera japonica, Japanese honeysuckle, which the USDA reports as “banned” or “prohibited” in three states (Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire) and a “Class B noxious weed” in a fourth (Vermont).

This species is Lonicera maackii, also banned in Connecticut, prohibited in Massachusetts and considered a Class B noxious weed in Vermont.
