She seems a bit late building her nest

I saw this goldfinch when I was out for my walk yesterday and thought it strange that she's only just building her nest when lots of other birds are feeding their young. Maybe the birds in my garden are early because they know that they have regular meals here LOL

Nice capture, Rosie! I find the nest-building and baby raising go on until well into May over here (in my yard, anyway!) One year I found a hummer that utilized her nest 3 times!
