Jeff, hissing between his teeth: “Hey, Nick. There’s nobody to meet us. I thought we would have hundreds of people waiting to give us a warm welcome.”
Nick: “I can’t reply, Jeff. I’m afraid that if I open my mouth I would let go of the rope and the flag will fall.”
This is how the two gulls entered Malta’s Grand Harbour escorted by a luxury schooner, while other ships gave them a cheer on the way in. People and gulls in Malta were not aware of their new arrival date this time. The partying came later in the day when the news was made known.

Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday’s picture. I will not be posting tomorrow. Will be leaving Malta at 3.00am for a whole day cultural excursion to south Sicily and will return to Malta at around 11.00pm.
