I bought this bunch of tulips (reduced for quick sale) because they had purple in the mix, and it's the first time I've seen purple - for the Rainbow Challenge. I had other pictures with them showing much darker, but so much clutter in the background that it was going to take more effort than I wanted to get rid of it.
Three good things:
1. Tuna steaks for lunch, with salad and baked potatoes
2. Much improved daughter going through pattern stash and removing patterns that weren't likely to fit (we're both small and petite, and commercial patterns are often not small enough, not with the additional ease);
3. lots more colours in this bunch that may appear next week if they last long enough

Yes I got purple tulips this year too, for the first time. I've seen purplish-pink before but these ones were really purple.
Will we be seeing more of the colours as the week moves on?
@gardencat I'm hoping to get as far as green with these tulips - there are red, yellow and orange tulips, plus green leaves. And I have an idea for indigo, but am not sure what I'll do for blue or violet, yet.
