it is partner's birthday today and we went for a quiet dinner at one of the nice greek restaurants on the danforth. he had a pork souvlaki which he raved so much about as he said it was just perfect, texture, taste, etc. i had shrimp alexander, large tiger shrimp in white wine sauce. well, i'm telling you this for @sarasdadandmom terry's benefit, and also i forgot to take a photo of our meal. haha!
before driving back to the apartment, we stopped to take a photo of the Christmas displays at this small parkette a block east of the restaurant. the display was just spectacular. there were even lights that looked like meteors. and that Christmas tree was actually massive! of course, since i have my wingman-director-dictator-partner with me tonight, i was able to photograph the displays in all angles possible. why, he even moved two large garbage cans near the Christmas tree. tee-hee!
thank you for your visits and kind comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
@salza - thank you, sally. during the day they all look non-plus because all are bare and grey during the cold months. the colourful lights make them a little bit more pleasant so sometimes all lights are left on. but they are spectacular when it gets dark and you could see all the shapes and the play of the lights. this parkette in particular, though, is always attractive, always well taken care of. thanks again.
@bkbinthecity - terry @sarasdadandmom is this wonderful guy in indianapolis who loves good food and good desserts, he's my best buddy when it comes to food and chocolate :-D (right, terry?). in any case, i will tell partner you wished him a happy birthday. thank you, brian.
