frozen lake

this was how the lake looked this afternoon, as the snow tapered off. this morning the water was just solid white. then as ferries and water taxis started as well as police, doing their rounds, they created the ridges that looked like paths or roads. there is only a thin coating of ice on the water, it is white because of the fresh snow that has fallen. the curvy lines are the 'waves'.
