sheer ice by summerfield

sheer ice

this is the same berry tree as yesterday's post. the sidewalk is sheer ice, as well as the road. at the end of the sidewalk, a woman was walking her dog and i felt sorry for the animal as even he can't walk properly as he kept on slipping.

thankfully, when the temperatures rose above zero yesterday, and with more salting and sanding of walkways and sidewalks, walking around today became more manageable. will pay another visit on the weekend to this berry tree.
In some ways it's good to see what's happening elsewhere in the world and the good photos soften the hard facts but I do like the sun that is shining on my neck while I look at this photo!

This large view of the berry tree gives me a perspective on the ice and cold. It's beautiful to look at---probably not so great slipping and sliding on the sidewalk though.
