so let me tell your fortune by summerfield

so let me tell your fortune

partner, for once, helped me with tonight's shoot. he saw me wearing the bright orange bandana, and said i looked "gorgeous". (dear, old people don't look gorgeous!) he was rather curious at the set up and ended up helping me with switching on and off the light. he commented that i needed to get some ridiculously ugly big rings so i'd really look like one of those fake seers we see around the danforth. he even suggested i should wear big hoop earrings! he's so old school!

so, second day of the black and white self-challenge. i couldn't think of any other set up for candlelight so this is what we get.

if you want to join in, i made a guideline of what i should at least do for the month. these are just guidelines. we do not have to stick to it and certainly you can deviate from it to suit your style and time:

1st and 2nd - candlelight challenge which is the csc theme. i will be posting the coloured version for these two days just because candlelight colour methinks gives a different feel. just for two days though.

3rd to 9th - a depiction of a movie scene, literary scene or even the song scene since there's a new song challenge, as well as the new six-word story challenge, madhatters' themes, games, etc.

10th to 16th - landscape or anything outdoorsy e.g. street and by all means the posts can be tied in with any of the on-going themes or challenges.

17th to 23rd - objects that start with N - just because i enjoyed wearing my thinking cap for that o for october challenge. i have a list of a few objects that start with the letter N and you can find them towards the bottom of the comments in yesterday's post.

24th to 30th - anything related to or about thanksgiving or simply being thankful. this is for the benefit of our american friends and other friends who are celebrating thanksgiving on this week.

i'm rather happy that my friends sally and billy (yay, they rhyme!) are joining me, and possibly the pretty miss northy and the very talented ann h. lefevre.

--o0o--

tagging this for the candlelight challenge and the six-word story challenge.

Fantastic image! Totally believable as a fortune teller. Mind you I have never been but you fit the stereotype! (; wonderful lighting and a genius at combining so many challenges in one cohesive shot!

November 3rd, 2014
@grammyn - funny, there was one time i went to interview a 'psychic/fortune teller' and i expected someone who fit the description we have in our minds and i was surprised. she was wearing a light pink tailored suit and pearl choker and earrings, very sedate. funny how we stereotype some people. thank you, katy.

@bkbinthecity - well, they're all over my head. i need to expel them once in a while.

@mzzhope - i love talking to them, they could be inspiring sometimes. thank you, hope.

@myhrhelper - hi, KB! nice to see you. thank you for coming by.
