the thomas crown affair by summerfield

the thomas crown affair

and i mean the original thomas crown movie, with the dashing steve mcqueen and faye dunaway. who can forget that chess match scene between the two protagonists? i have seen the 1999 remake and it also had a good plot but it didn't have that magic the 1968 original version had with that chess scene.

this didn't come out as i pictured it in my mind, as the lighting is all wrong. but it's late and i have the grandsons tomorrow so i need to go to sleep and get however much rest i could get.

the chess set is an old one which belongs to partner from his days in barbados. and what do you know, i know how to arrange the pieces and i'm the one who never cared for chess!

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that i appreciate them all. i shall catch up with you, kind folks, tomorrow night after we've brought the boys back.
Love the story telling of the shot

I like the composition a lot. Enjoy your time with the mini ones. The internet access where I am is woeful! Tried to upload a picture but it keeps timing out! At least I have been able to view and comment. Will keep trying, maybe I'll score a luck!

Fantastic shallow dof, Just a couple of months ago I got both versions from the library. I do like the old one, with dreamy Faye. Loved the chess scene too. Your dress is very reminiscent of hers. (I'm a sucker for bare shoulders).

Very artsy and dark and I like this a lot, though I never did watch that movie... Should I put it on my list?
