this is a sculpture, titled "young girl" by american-canadian artist florence wyle. it is installed at the loring-wyle parkette northeast of toronto. in PSE, i lightened the shadows a little bit to show the face and to show the true blue of the sky.
over at mad hatters, the theme is 'art in nature'. i am quite stymied as what that means exactly so...the sculpture is art, and it is in the treed parkette. the companion piece shot is here: http://365project.org/madhatters/365/2015-05-06
quite busy at the office as i'm trying to get caught up from my two-day absence last week. i have to admit defeat with old age, i'm not as quick on my feet as i used to be. but, c'est la vie. i can't wait until i retire. i would probably be wondering what to do then, that's why i'm making a list now!
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
I think this is perfect for the theme. I sometimes feel that I have less time now than when I was working. I've had plenty to keep me busy. I was going to go to the crumbling building again, but I will wait 'til the 24th.
Lovely statue. I always say that I could get hold of my parents easier before they retired! At least you knew exactly where they were and what times they were there! Since retiring I believe they are busier than when they held full time employment.
