dagwood? by summerfield

dagwood?

i mean dogwood, i think this is. inspired by last sunday's beautiful sunset, partner thought rather belatedly that we should go to the botanical garden up north. we only had 27 minutes to catch the last rays but upon arriving, we found out there's really no elevated vantage point to catch the sunset. but... the garden grounds were rife with flower beds - tulips, jonquilles, daffs, and more tulips. no cherry trees though. he initially thought, seeing them from the roadway that this was cherry blossom. but i got some good shots that i can post later on.

processed in pse and applied some kind of filter effect called accented edges. all it did was put a lot of noise on the photo, but i kind of like it. and it's late, and the old lady's got to go to bed!

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
That whole lot of noise works very well for the background! Accentuates the fine focus on the petals of this interesting flower - its petals look like wings!

I see your Dagwood, and raise you a Rhododendron today... ;-)) Yes, this one's got to go to bed, too, but wanted to visit your project first...I don't think I will ever catch up to anything here....

I'm not sure it's Dogwood- it does look like one but the center is a little different than what I'm used to and the tips of the petals don't have the red spots. Whatever it is- it's really pretty and so is the shot!
