well, practically they are neighbours. the wall on the left is of a small structure with 3 storeys, and it houses tom jones steak and lounge, toronto's oldest steakhouse, in the same location since it started its operations. it's a fine dining restaurant, serving quality steak in a very formal setting - pewters, glass crystals, damask linens, leather seats, and featuring antique gas-lit wall sconces. pricey! the cheapest entrée is pegged at forty-five dollars. but the establishment has loyal customers, mostly the moneyed elderly.
by contrast, just across the narrow lane way, a few yards away actually, is p.j. o'brien's. in its canary yellow and blue exterior, a pub-style restaurant, featuring all kinds of beer and ales and brews. i presume they have steak in their menu, but rest assured it would not be as pricey as the restaurant across. clientele? yuppies, the old farts, lawyer-types and banker-types.
for the half and half challenge. also for the 52-week challenge, this week the challenge is geometric shapes.
fitness challenge update: comfortably stagnating in #2 position overall, all time. just might end up in there, unless the others get sick. tee-hee! my officemates think i want to win the prize. it's not the prize i want, it's the prestige of being old and being fit and can kick the big asses of the younger ones.
Good luck in maintaining your position or exceeding it in the fitness thing. I'm all about showing those young whippersnappers what us old folk can do
