where the heck are you now? by summerfield

where the heck are you now?

that's what she said as she answered her phone. apparently she's been waiting for two hours.

i knew this slopey look out to the lake. this is at the harris filtration plant at the far end of the beaches, my old haunt. i expected a lot of people suntanning but to my surprise they were all on the sand, except for this young lady, she was right in the middle of the grassy slope, restlessly waiting for her beau (who arrived just when we were leaving the filtration compound; they did go back to spend the afternoon together).

in the style of photographer Andric Ljubodrag, a torontonian, no less, with roots in Yugoslavia, the featured photographer in the current artist challenge. his photographs seem to use a lot of space within the frame which follows his mantra of "a good image should always leave some questions unanswered."

so, what's your question? but guess i answered it already, non?

also for the six-word story challenge.
Fantastic shot for the challenge! FAV

I can't add anything about the photo that hasn't already been said. It is a most excellent example for the artist challenge. Aces, indeed! The unanswered question is what is on the other side of the hill?

My question is where is the tennis racquet? Not meaning to be flippant, but I really did wonder if she was a tennis player when I first saw this. Leaving so much space in the frame is something I need to do more of and I can see how it works so well here with the lines and layers. Need to look up the artist challenge photographer now - thank you.
