dare to touch the sky by summerfield

dare to touch the sky

we had a very dramatic sky most of the time. the morning this was taken, the sky started out laden with heavy dark clouds with a strip of open sky above the horizon where the lake is. within a space of an hour, the winds have carried the heavy clouds towards the east and the sun showed up all decked in red, pink and orange. (i know, i won't be caught dead wearing all three colours at the same time.) and when the sun was well above the view from my window was this: a lone seagull flying across the expanse and the clouds above the lake way to the south.
Love the shot, no sweat about colour co-ordination. Mother Nature writes her own rules.

Beautiful capture. I wouldn't wear red, pink and orange together either. But Mother Nature seems to make it beautiful.

God knows what he is doing with the colors. Jus’ sayin’. YOU know what you are doing when it come to composition and photography. Great image.

Watching the changing colours in the sky is a wonderful past time. I know what you mean about the combinations of colours that we wouldn't be seen dead in, and yet work so well in nature. Great cloud cover in the foreground and in the distance, on this one.
