tiny orange flowers

for someone with some degree of intelligence, my knowledge of flowers is practically nil. like you will need to educate me again what this one is because i am not satisfied with what the internet tells me. in fact, the internet came up with nothing -- nada, zero, zilch! -- to identify this cluster of tiny flowers. i know i should've paid more attention whilst taking photos but...

in any case, it has been ascertained that yesterday's flower was a camellia. the red colour threw me off so despite its leaves almost looking like rose's leaves, they were thicker and waxen-like, and the bud, i had thought it was a peony. you see, back in the old country, we only have white or pale yellow camellias so i've never seen a red camellia and, again it boils down to knowledge, which apparently i haven't much.

Camellias I'm familiar with, lots of them here, all different colours - white, pink, red etc and mixtures thereof. But I can't help with you with this one Vikki. Whatever it is, I think the photo is a stunner with that vivid red against the dark greens.

So pretty

it's very pretty - is it a red virbirnum? I am used to pink and white varieties, but the flowers and what I can see of the leaves look similar (and checking, red virbirnum does exist, I can't see the leaves well enough to go further)

Well they are beautiful and I love the color! I’ll hunt around and see if I can find anything about them. Those almost black stems are throwing me for a curve.

You are on your own with this one especially since I failed so miserably with the last one. They are very beautiful and make a great photo for the day.

No idea what it is Vikki, but it's very pretty :)

No idea, but they are really pretty.

i'm definitely staying out of the name this flower discussion. Once beyond daisies, buttercups and bluebells I am lost. They are pretty little flowers though and perfect for the days colour.

@summerfield haha I didn't see this yesterday but would have known it was a euphorbia....I have this one ( actually not this one but ones with similar flowers - just looked it up to check ) and many other varieties in my garden...they are a favourite of mine 😀
