this is a flower the plant of which was rather old, climbing over to the ceiling beams of the horticultural building. the flowers are huge, almost as wide as my face, so you can imagine how huge that is. :-D and the petals are thick and waxy. the buds are as big as my fist. and since there was no name tag for it at the gardens, we'll just agree that this is some kind of lily, okay?
now, mr. @pyrrhula has kindly identified yesterday's flower as euphorbia fulgens. a big thank you to you, sir.
