the beaches are off limits to people due to flooding. authorities were asking the public on the weekend to stay away or they might be in danger. so what did i do at lunch today? moseyed on down to the harbourfront because i wanted to see it for myself!
as you can see from the top photo, the boardwalk is completely submerged. as evidenced by the water line on the concrete on the lower left.
the lower photo shows the patio of the beaver tails shop also submerged in the rising water. the main floor of the shop is way higher so i was able to have a beaver tail pastry for my dessert.
it does look very wet - we had a huge downpour last night and winds today so everything is wet and dreary - we do need rain so I shan't whinge too much.
Wow, you must've had some wild wet weather. Been pretty darned wet and wild here too, but we do need the rain very badly. Pity it all fell at once in a whopping great torrent.
well I am glad the damage is limited despite the spread of the water and with even the pastries still on offer, things cant be all that bad. Just hope they don't get any worse.

So glad the shop was okay . There is so much flooding in the mid west of the United States. It's heartbreaking to see on the news. I think a little yellow plastic ducky would may this picture. Well, that's where my mind went.
