miserly fireworks

our long weekend, Victoria Day, the last before the summer, officially ended with fireworks around the neighbourhood. this is probably about three blocks away south of my building and is directly visible from my living room window. i could've mounted the camera on a tripod and set it outside on the balcony but it would've been a lot of to-do so i just pressed the camera lens on the dirty window pane and shot from inside.

i had not done anything worthwhile today, except weeded out the old stuff from my little deep freeze, brought it to my niece for them to enjoy. i have about five unopened containers of ice cream, i couldn't see any best before dates on them so they stayed in the bottom of the deep freeze. i couldn't give them to my niece as she and her husband are diabetics. however, i'm so afraid to throw away food; i feel like the little gods are looking at me and contemplating what punishment to mete out if i do throw the frozen foodstuff away.

"back to work" tomorrow. sad!
This makes a good half-half

I love the lit cityscape and fireworks on the bottom half and the night sky on the top half of this photo! No tripod worked for this one. Eat the ice cream

Well I like this photo of your fireworks! It’s a shame you don’t live closer, we would take that ice cream off your hands. Ha!

You finally were able to capture fireworks. Glad to see. I was wondering what the occasion for firewords was. Glad you mentioned that here.
