this pollinator and its mates were busy attending to all the flowers in the park yesterday. the public parks this year have a lot of lavender plants and this plant, whatever it is called. do you know what it is? they were attractive though and pleasing to the eye with their conically arranged flowers and the colour was pastel pink. it was windy and this guy was so busy but stayed long enough on this particular flower so i was able to take this photo.
after the zoom church service this morning, i went to have a lie down for a bit and didn't wake up until almost six. and i am still tired and sleepy. and now hungry, too! i intended to paint but sleep claimed me.
kathy @randystreat has identified this as Celosia Flamingo Feather. with thanks!
The flower is very pretty although I don’t know what it is! This is an exceptional photo if it was a windy day because I’m sure it was difficult to capture a good focus!
Nice shot- it's always good to see the bees and butterflies doing their pollinating business in good order. I too could not keep my eyes open yesterday and ended up taking a very rare afternoon nap- until 7 pm!
Take care, Vikki!
This looks like it might be a Veronica, also known as Speedwell, possibly?
