"love is what makes two people sit in the middle of a bench when there's plenty of room at both ends." - anonymous
this was taken at marine parade drive, near the humber bay park, about 10 kilometres west of downtown toronto. you can see the sailboats moored on the other side of the water. wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by, daydream and relax. those i would do when i retire, lug my laptop along and just write.
another beautiful weather, albeit windy and cold. i would've gone to the billy bishop city centre airport but i didn't have a jacket and the wind was quite fierce during lunch.
ten days more to go on this project/challenge. this early and i'm wondering what i'd do next. perhaps skydive? nyet!
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam. i suppose there's no love in this photograph, the benches are empty! which i actually preferred as i would only want to photogrpah someone i know rather than complete strangers.
love the feel of this one -- with the park benches and the wonderful quote -- really pulls me in!! Very heartwarming! Your creativity continues to amaze me -- you have such a wonderful eye! And you make it look so easy!
I think you're doing an excellent job with your project. It is inspiring! Uhm, how far do you actually get to take these photos? Where's the farthest you've been where you can still see the tower (or needle at that point). I love your adventures, so please keep at it.
@cscecil - CS, thank you so much. i am humbled. @reanne - the farthest was roughly 20 km (i think) on june 7. thank you, reanne. i'd like to go to niagara on a clear day, but i'd have to use my old camera with the telefoto lens. @danig - thank you so much, DG. i can sit with you on the bench; let's put sean in the middle and then we chat hehehe. @steeler - i agree with you, but had to forego that opportunity because i didn't bring my tripod. thank you. howard.
thanks, my friends, i am humbled by your comments and so will try to do better again.
I'm enjoying your theme shots too .... I haven't been really close to the tower in a few years. This one has a lovely skyline and great framing, natural and otherwise. Say yes to skydiving ... ;-)
@sunnygreenwood - anne, thanks for the "follow"; much appreciated, and flattered! re skydiving - the more i think about it, the more i get to like the idea. @gailreese - thanks, gail. god bless whoever invented the internet; i am lazy opening the heavy tomes these days.
@silverdraggin - thank you, meiska. if i'm permitted to comment on my photo, i'd say, this is a beautiful one!
@patticake - thank you so much, patti. no, and i won't because i'm sure they have photographers on staff to do this kind of thing. i'm hoping i'd get noticed though!
@bkbinthecity - thank you. thanks also for the follow. i'm very flattered. @gingagma - i had a few shots of this but the positioning of the wind turbine was the one factor that this photo was posted. thank you for noticing.
