"objects in mirror are closer than they appear"

i was ready to post a so-so street shot but then partner thought it was time to use up our voucher for free food at the duke of devon so he headed downtown and we had supper "free" (we had to pay for our drinks, though, and i had to cough up some good tip for the server). going home, i glanced at the side mirror and there it was, the CN tower! we were on the highway and the car was going fast and partner was yelling at me: "there it is! there it is! quick!"

that car behind us passed us on the right shoulder and probably thought i was taking a shot at them, the driver actually gave us the finger. how rude! but, sweet revenge, there was a cop car in front of us and he promptly got pulled over by the kind officer.

in any case, partner actually planned on helping me take a shot at the CN tower while the storm was going on, but the storm passed in the early afternoon so no dice. i think though that this is another "novelty" shot; not as novel as the past ones, but a novelty just the same. there will be other good ones to come for sure.

i had no internet this morning so now i'm playing catch up!

@sunnygreenwood - anne, we switch stalking each other. my camera, no matter how faint the image is of the Cn tower, it knows. scary sometimes but handy, too.

cool shot, and I like how you can still read 'objects in the mirror may seem closer than they appear'....quite profound actually!

Once again, another original shot of the Tower! I didn't even think about a car mirror. Way to go...using that brain power! Awesome!!!

That is a hilarious story!! (Love it that the cop pulled over the angry driver!) Giving you a finger -- how rude!!! And I love the shot! Also love how the street light curves over into the tower -- ! And yet another creative angle! Love how you keep coming up with something new and unique -- "bottoming" the previous one! The pressure, the pressure! The Tower will miss you when this project is finished.........and or just randomly keep re-appearing in future project shots? I have so much fun anticipating your next photo!!

@slang - an accidental shot, yet again. thanks.
@cscecil - we'll never know, CS. i have more shots planned that would have to take place as from monday. this project has evolved into a favourite. i frankly thought it was going to be an easy one, but it is not, as i'm finding out, hahaha!
@steeler - thanks, howard.
@magr - matthew, i thankfully wasn't driving. i can't even chew gum and walk at the same time. i don't believe in doing anything else while driving. thanks.
@bruni - no, the tower's everywhere you can't hide from it:-)
