my camera is like a woman having PMS. it's so darn moody! for example, this morning i went out early for a walk with my canon, you know, thinking i might pass by some nice gardens and i can take a photo (not that i don't have thousands of fillers on reserve!). so i passed by this beautiful house with a lush flower garden and i started taking pictures using the macro feature. daisies, roses, cosmos, lilies, cacti. all were reversed dof. and i was especially miffed because there was a hosta flower that had dew hanging as if it was waiting for a photo before finally dripping off into non-existence. still nada!
then tonight as i reviewed and discarded the bad ones, there showed one with such incredible clarity you'd think it came from another planet. could it have been properly centred, is that too much to ask! it makes me think all my good photos were accidents and that i should really sit down and read the darn user's manual.
in any case, doesn't this hosta flower look incredibly awesome? i love the colour of brushed purplish blue. and do you see the beautiful clear morning sky over toronto? a precursor to a hot humid sunday. well, we wanted hot so we got hot.
Lovely photo even if it was the only one. I know the feeling. I was at a beautiful park today but I was not at all happy with the photos. I think there is something in the air. Hope you have air conditiioning so you can sleep in that humidity.
A very beautiful flower. That is the thing about taking pictures. Sometimes you have to go through so many to get just the right one. This is a very nice shot and I love the blue sky
I love the details in the blossoms -- the purplish lines are amazing! Yep, it always works for me -- the ones I think are going to be outstanding go bomb!
Very nice- clarity and color. Good thing we dont delete shots till we get a better chance to view them. I love it if I get one good one out of a days shots.
@pamfromcalgary - thanks, pam. it's still comfortable in my apartment, i just need to have the fan circulating the air. @bkbinthecity - thanks so much.
i know, i know, i know. can't wait to get to the computer only to discover there is nothing to i was expecting but. . .oh, what is that? i live in frustration city where i am rapidly going bald.
@bkbinthecity - thanks so much.
@jannkc - thank you, jann. 83 shots of hosta flowers in reverse DOF, would you believe it?
and as for PMS, last thing we need is for our cameras to be so cantankerous!
@altadc - thank you, alta.
