today we went to the underground river in puerto princesa, palawan island. it was a splendid natural wonder of the mother nature. this is the entrance.
10 people can fit in a banca or a small boat that plies the underground river. this place is rich in natural history and i have resolved that i will read more on this island.
before we went in, we were told what we need to know about the do's and don'ts. this also included a sumptuous lunch yet again. there were fishes, two kinds, and fresh coconut water with ginger, and we had to eat these by the ocean, the waves crushing on the shore with the cloudy blue sky. there were lots of fishing boats.
thank you, my friends, for your comments while i am on this trip. i will do my best to keep up with your postings. i do appreciate it.
Now you are making us all super envious that looks crazy beautiful...Lovely shot and a fav...Now if you'll go scuba diving and get some of those u/w shots
it sounds romantic, relaxing, the food sounds astounding. oh, oh,OH! have never had coconut water. i, too, want to know if you went into the cave. you are really posting lovely shots!
I'm with Howard...super envious of your wonderful travels (tho I am a self-confessed travel junkie constrained by lack of funds at present). that food sounds delicious too
@steeler - i wish i could go and scuba dive. but i am such a chicken when it comes to that. btw, we visited one of the world's most beautiful coral reef and they were really very strict about snorkeling there, but it was like heaven with all the fishes curious about us humans. you'd be in your best element in that place. thanks, howard, and for the fav, too. you are so kind,
@roth - we did! and it was awesome!! thank you, sue.
@catsmeowb - never had coconut water? hmmmm, now i know what to bring you when i visit vermont next year :-) thank you, camille.
@patticake - aww, patti, thank you, you're so kind. if i knew then what i knew now, i'd be travelling here rather than elsewhere. who knows, someday, eh?
it's so too bad that you had to eat your lunch in such dire conditions. glad you were able to make due. lol love the composition of your shot, the size of the people on the dock gives it great scale, pretty greens.
@karenann - thanks, karenann! much appreciated.
