i guess it's my 'fall back on' subject when i'm in dire need to photograph something worthwhile looking at.
i thought the lights from the building, the refinery and the highway were quite attractive. no, actually, i forgot to take pictures when i went for a walk during lunch. what?! forgot to take pictures?! horrors! but really, today, i think i showed my november 17 post so many times it made me feel a tad depressed.
i am making quite a progress, albeit slow, in viewing your posts from november. so many beautiful shots that i have missed and i am now just seeing. if i hadn't made it to yours, please don't be mad; i shall get there just as soon as i can. i hope to get caught up by the weekend. goodnight, everyone.
Love the night shots! I've thought of a series of shots from exactly the same spot (same lens, etc.) to capture the changes in an ordinary scene. This is an impressive shot from an impressive location!
Thanks for all your wonderful comments to my photos -- it really meant a lot to me and I savored each one! I love the night lights in this picture!! Be gentle with yourself getting caught back up and re-aclimated back into "normal" life.....!
it gets dark so early now, and so quickly, too. you have such a magnificent view it must be difficult to stay on task. i would be watching the ships in the harbor. wonderful shot.
@steeler - thank you, howard. and yes, i took this shot just a few minutes after 6 last night. in 14 days' time we will be hitting the year's shortest day and then it should get better from then on to summer which is about 6 more months. quite the optimist, aren't i?
@danig - and your request shall be granted. thank you, DG.
@catsmeowb - thank you, camille. this view is actually from my boss' office. assistants/secretaries like me don't get the views otherwise, as you said it, it would be difficult to stay on task. i check what the weather is like from his office just before i leave.
@netkonnexion - thank you so much; glad you found your way here.
@michaelelliott - what i really regret was not taking a night shot of manila - there was just nowhere to do that except from inside the car. thank you, ME.
@karenann - thank you, karenann.
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam.
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann.
your comments are so much appreciated.
